Behold, a new tune called "Trifling Woman." It was fun to write and record, although (or maybe "because") I have no experience comparable to what the lyrics describe. The arrangement is more of a sketch than a finished track, but hey, it's close enough for the web.
Trifling Woman
1 4 I can't conceal the way that I feel 1 4 And I must concede it's less than ideal 6m 5 To be living a lie 6m 4 How could I ever think I knew 1 A trifling woman like you I’ve long since lost sight of what counts Though there’s little doubt just what you’re about God only knows what kind of bind I got into With a trifling woman like you
3 1 (repeated) I spotted you Across a crowded room Toward you I spun And chaos ensued 3 4 Like a lesser moon 5 Pulled into the Sun
I'm sure you might imagine my surprise If I ever once get a word in edgewise With each hour that goes by The harder I try and the less I get through to a trifling woman like you
My friends say I can't see you for standing too near They all swear from a distance it's clear But they’ll never know what I see in you There's not much I wouldn't do For a trifling woman like you A trifling woman like you |
